IM BACK! managing school and reading was certainly an adjustment but I've cracked the code and im back and better than ever. Experienced a decently good reading month, not my best but there are definitely some gems in here so let's go!
My Body by Emily Ratajkowski:

THIS BOOK!!!! READ IT!!!! easy 5 stars. Emily Ratajkowski delves into her life beginning at childhood, and the importance that was put onto physical appearance and ingrained into her growing mind. She talks about the impact of this, and how she refuses to be just a body.
"I do not believe I owe you anything. I will no longer blame myself for having become small and digestible for you. I have grown past shame and fear and into anger."
This book is powerful and feminist and inspiring and probably one of my top reads of the year. We all know I'm a sucker for a feminist essay collection, and this one blew my socks off.
The Sinners of Hawthorne University Series by Eva Ashwood:
When Sinners Play
How Sinners Fight
What Sinners Love

I wanted to read something hot and dumb sue me. A GIRLS GOTTA GET OUT OF A READING SLUMP SOMEHOW OKAY. honestly this was kinda good, call it a guilty pleasure if u must but the three books averaged together got a 3.5 star rating out of me. I love a strong female main character and I LOVE possessive men who would literally die for said mc. AND THE PLOT WASN'T BAD JUST HEAR ME OUT OKAY, there were twists there were turns there was trauma there was love WHAT MORE COULD A TEENAGE GIRL WANT I AM WHO I AM WHATEVER IM MOVING ON.
Lapvona by Ottessa Moshfegh:

This was one of my most anticipated reads of 2022 FOR A REASON MRS. MOSHFEGH NEVER LETS ME DOWN!! This was borderline criminally odd and I loved every second of it. I just love a book where every single character is the freakiest freak you've ever met, it's like every time a new person is introduced they're somehow worse than the last and it's fascinating. How does she do it?! Obviously 5 stars its a Moshfegh book come on don't play with me. Outstanding, incredible, show stopping, revolutionary. Standing ovation from me.
A book of absolute menaces and their behavior, this novel is practically a character study into the minds of the severely mentally ill and GOD ITS GOOD. READ!!
The Final Gambit by Jennifer Lynn Barnes:

I am far from a YA girl but like this series just GETS ME. Independent female mc and two brothers fighting over her COME ON ITS A CLASSIC. And the plot's good too I love a puzzle I love smart characters that I don't have to yell at for being idiotic i love it all. Five Stars. I think my goodreads logs say more about my mindset reading this than I'll be able to after the fact so im just gonna
